How to use Quantum

Quantum follows Shopify’s native theme structure. Most setup is standard Shopify.

Theme editor basics

• Go to Online Store → Themes → Customise to edit sections
• Use the top dropdown inside the editor to switch templates and pages
• Global styles are in Theme settings, including colours and typography
• Each page template can be customised independently

Menus and navigation

• Go to Content → Menus to create and edit your menus
• Add pages, collections, and links into the main menu
• Use nested items to create dropdown menus

Pages

• Go to Online Store → Pages to create pages such as About and Contact
• Assign templates in the page editor if your theme uses page templates
• Use Custom Liquid blocks only if you are confident, otherwise use sections

Quantum includes a built in wholesale pathway so your store can support everyday customers and approved retailers. This reduces admin and keeps orders in one Shopify store.

What you need to create

• Create a page for Wholesale and add your wholesale information
• Create optional pages for Wholesale apply and Wholesale quick order
• Add a top level menu item called Wholesale in your main menu
• Add child links under Wholesale for the related pages

• Retailers request access or apply
• Approved retailers log in and see the wholesale pathway
• Wholesale ordering supports small and bulk ordering
• Everyday customers continue to shop normally

Net terms

If your business uses net terms, you can enable it using Shopify’s business to business features. Quantum is designed to fit that workflow cleanly.

Tip: Keep your wholesale pages linked under the Wholesale menu item so retailers can find everything quickly.

The stockists feature helps customers find where your products are available in store. It is designed for brands selling online and through retail partners.

Setup steps

• Create a page for your stockists directory
• Add the stockists section to the page in the theme editor
• Enter stockist name, location, and details
• Link the stockists page in your header or footer

Best practices

• Keep store information up to date
• Group stockists by region where helpful
• Use clear headings and consistent formatting

Pay any amount allows customers to enter a custom payment value during checkout. This is useful for deposits, invoice payments, and custom orders.

• Deposits for made to order products
• Invoice payments
• Custom pricing requests

• Add the pay any amount section to the page in the theme editor
• Set guidance text so customers know what to enter
• Link this page wherever you request deposits or invoice payments

Tip: This removes the need to create fixed price products just to collect payments.

Quantum supports colour swatches and swatch based filters. This requires products to use consistent variants.

How to set up variants

• Go to Products and open a product
• Enable variants and create an option such as Colour or Size
• Use consistent spelling across products, for example Colour
• Assign images to each colour variant where possible

Best practices

• Keep colour names consistent across the whole catalogue
• Use high quality variant images for the best impact
• Test on mobile to ensure browsing feels smooth
